Configuring Thermostat and Actor: A User's Journey

Hello everyone, I’m currently working on setting up my smart home and have encountered a challenge with my thermostat and actor configuration. I have a HM-CC-TC thermostat and an HM-LC-Sw4 actor, and I’m trying to connect them directly without relying on the central system. My goal is to adjust the heating settings manually using the thermostat’s dial, but I’m running into some issues.I initially connected the thermostat to the actor through the central system, which worked for programming but didn’t allow manual overrides. I then tried a direct connection, hoping it would solve the problem. However, after selecting the thermostat as the first partner, I couldn’t find a suitable channel for the second connection. This has left me puzzled about the correct setup.I’m wondering if I need to put both devices into learning mode to establish a direct link. If so, would this disconnect them from the central system? Also, would this affect the other channels of the actor? I’m not sure if I’m missing a step in the process. After some research, I found that others have successfully configured similar setups by ensuring both devices are in learning mode simultaneously. This approach allows them to pair directly without losing connection to the central system. It seems that the key was to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines precisely and test each step carefully.I encourage anyone facing similar issues to consult the official documentation or reach out to the community for advice. Sometimes, a fresh perspective can shed light on the solution. I’m determined to crack this and will keep you updated on my progress. Thanks for your support, and happy smart home tinkering!
