Hello everyone, I’m excited to share my recent experience with configuring Virtual ViewX for our SCADA system. As someone new to Geo SCADA Expert 2022, I found the process both challenging and rewarding. My setup involves two virtual machines: one for SCADA and another for HMI, both on the same network. I was aiming to access the Mimic via Virtual ViewX from the HMI VM, but initially faced some hurdles.
After extensive research and troubleshooting, I managed to make progress by ensuring both servers’ Node A was correctly pointing to GeoSCADA at port 5481. The browser was set to port 8080 of the VirtualViewX instance, and I created a test account with appropriate permissions. However, an ‘Application load failed’ error persisted. By reviewing the VirtualViewXAuthentication.log, I identified the issue and resolved it through careful configuration adjustments.
This journey taught me the importance of meticulous setup and the value of community resources. I hope sharing my experience can help others facing similar challenges. Happy configuring!
