Inspired by the eerie yet cool lighting effects from Stranger Things, I decided to create a similar setup using Govee RGBIC strips. It was a blast to work on, and the end result is something I’m really proud of!I’ve always been a fan of how lighting can completely transform a space, and with the flexibility of RGB strips, the possibilities are endless. For this project, I used a few 65.6ft Govee RGBIC strips and some DIY skills to achieve that retro, otherworldly glow. I focused on creating a moody atmosphere, so I placed the strips in areas where the light would cast interesting shadows.- Installation: Using some simple tools, I mounted the strips along the baseboards and around door frames. The adhesive backing made it a breeze to attach them without any drilling.- Control: I connected everything to my existing smart home system using the Govee app. Setting up scenes was a cinch, and now I can switch between different color schemes with just a tap.One tip I’d give to anyone looking to try something similar is to experiment with different color combinations. I found that using cooler tones like blues and purples really amps up that sci-fi vibe.
