Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience setting up a smart lighting system combined with a projector for my home theater. It’s been a journey of trial and error, but I’m thrilled with the results!
The Challenge: I recently purchased Ledvance SmartWiF Planon RGB+White panels and a GOVEE SKY PROJECTOR. My goal was to integrate these devices into my Smartthings ecosystem to create a cohesive entertainment experience. However, getting everything to work seamlessly wasn’t straightforward.
The Solution: After some research and help from the community, I discovered that using a Sonoff ZigBee switch allowed me to control the Ledvance panels within Smartthings. This setup not only simplified my controls but also eliminated the need for multiple apps. For the projector, I found that setting up scenes in Smartthings to adjust lighting and trigger the projector made everything feel more integrated.
Community Support: I must give a shoutout to the community for their invaluable tips and tricks. Without their guidance, I wouldn’t have figured out how to synchronize the projector with my lighting system. It’s amazing how a supportive community can turn a challenging project into a rewarding success!
Final Thoughts: This project has taught me the importance of persistence and the value of community support. My home theater now feels like a cinematic retreat, and I’m excited to explore more possibilities with my smart devices.
