I recently transitioned to using VeraLite and I’m trying to set up a vacation schedule. My old setup was quite complex, with each day of the week having its own unique programming for six lights. Some lights would turn on and off multiple times during the night. I was hoping to create a single script that encapsulates the entire schedule so I could just run it without having to manage each scene individually. However, from what I’ve researched, it doesn’t seem possible to create a master script, but I can work with multiple schedules within each scene. One thing I’m curious about is whether I can set a duration for a light to stay on instead of creating a separate scene for turning it off. I recall seeing older tutorials where delays were used for this purpose, but in the new UI, it seems like the delay option only adjusts the start time. I’m also wondering if there are any plugins like PLEG that could simplify this process. If anyone has successfully created a vacation schedule with multiple devices and timings, I’d love to hear about your approach! Whether it’s through scripting, using multiple schedules, or leveraging plugins, your insights would be incredibly helpful. Let’s collaborate to make vacation scheduling as seamless as possible! ![]()
