Cube won't connect to HA?

How does one go about getting the Cube connected to home assistant? Do I need the Aqara hub?

@MarsCore To connect your Aqara Cube to Home Assistant, an Aqara Hub is required first, as Aqara products are specifically designed to be used with an Aqara Hub to ensure connection reliability and full functionality.

First, pair the Cube with the Aqara Hub via the Aqara Home app. Here are the general steps: 1. Download the Aqara Home app. 2. Ensure you have an Aqara Zigbee hub installed and added to the app. 3. Open the app, click “+” in the upper right corner to enter “Add Accessory”, select your Cube model (e.g., Cube T1 or T1 Pro), follow the app instructions, and long press the reset button for 5 seconds to complete pairing.

Once paired with the hub, if the Cube supports HomeKit, you can connect it to Home Assistant via the HomeKit Controller integration: 1. Prepare the HomeKit device (ensure it’s reset and connected to your local network). 2. In Home Assistant, go to Settings > Devices & Services, add the “HomeKit Controller” integration. 3. Select the Cube from discovered HomeKit devices and enter the pairing code when prompted.
