First, they use ep one ep two, with smart things to control lights throughout my house
@reimboldclint It’s wonderful to hear about your setup using the FP1, FP2, and FP1E with SmartThings to control the lights in your home! This combination allows for a robust smart home experience. The FP2, for instance, supports advanced automation conditions and multi-target tracking, making it ideal for complex scenarios. The FP1E focuses on precise human presence detection, which can optimize energy consumption by adjusting lighting and HVAC systems based on presence.
If you have any tips or experiences to share about integrating these devices with SmartThings, it would be great to hear about them. Your insights could be very valuable to others in the community looking to enhance their smart home setup. Thank you for sharing, and feel free to share more about your home automation journey!
I use them quite frequently with SmartThings. Integrations work about 90% of the time. I’ve tried many edge drivers. It’s a fp2 it says it’s disconnected sometimes, but it still works correctly for some reason
@reimboldclint It’s great to hear that you’re actively using the FP2 with SmartThings and exploring different edge drivers! The FP2 can occasionally report being disconnected due to various reasons, such as distance from the Wi-Fi router or potential interference from metal obstacles. However, it’s encouraging that it still functions correctly despite these notifications.
To improve connectivity, you might consider moving the device closer to the router or ensuring there are no metal objects obstructing the signal. Additionally, keeping the device’s firmware updated can enhance compatibility and communication stability. If you have any other experiences or insights to share, especially about managing these disconnection notifications, they would be highly appreciated by the community!
