I’ve been diving into the world of YAML and custom cards, and I’m absolutely loving the flexibility it offers! My current project is creating a dashboard for my Raspberry Pi and Pi-Hole setup. It’s been a great way to learn the ins and outs of YAML syntax while tailoring the interface to my needs.
However, I’ve hit a bit of a snag. As I’ve added more entities and sensors to the card, I’ve noticed that the text formatting gets a bit wonky, and some elements don’t display properly. I’m curious if there’s a way to adjust the card’s width through the code, ideally in pixels, so I can fine-tune the layout later on.
Here’s the current setup of my card. It includes a mix of status indicators, graphs, and buttons, all aimed at giving me a quick overview of my Raspberry Pi’s health and Pi-Hole’s performance.
One thing I’m particularly excited about is the possibility of adding more cards, like duplicating the ‘Uptime’ card for other sensors. It would make the dashboard even more comprehensive!
If anyone has tips on adjusting the card’s width or organizing entities more efficiently, I’d be thrilled to hear them. Happy to share more details or code snippets if needed! ![]()
