As a newcomer, I decided to dive in by purchasing some indoor lights and a set of prism lights for my home. The setup was straightforward, and I was immediately impressed by the vibrant colors and smooth transitions. However, I soon discovered a challenge that piqued my curiosity: custom effects in Workshop.
Initially, I assumed that Workshop would allow me to tweak and create unique lighting effects for my ceiling lights and floor lamps. Imagine my excitement when I learned that I could import editable effects from the shared space and customize them further. But here’s the catch—putting that into practice turned out to be a bit of a puzzle!
I spent hours trying different approaches, importing effects, and attempting to edit them. It was a mix of frustration and determination. I scoured the forums, watched tutorials, and even reached out to some community members for tips. This approach allows you to understand how each parameter affects the final output without feeling overwhelmed. I’ve managed to create some stunning effects for my Torchie floor lamp and 12” ceiling light, and I’m excited to experiment further!
One thing I’d love to see from Govee is more detailed documentation or a step-by-step guide for Workshop, especially for those of us who are just starting out. Additionally, expanding the range of editable effects in the shared space would be a fantastic way to inspire creativity within the community.
