Customizable Dashboard and Smart Lighting Automation

Customizable Dashboard and Smart Lighting Automation

Hi everyone,

I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately, and I must say, it’s been an incredible journey! One of the most exciting developments I’ve come across is the customizable dashboard feature in the pre-beta version of the EZLO platform. It’s such a game-changer for organizing and monitoring all my smart devices in one place. I’ve been tinkering with it to create a seamless interface that suits my daily routine perfectly.

One of my favorite projects so far has been setting up an automated lighting system using Govee bulbs. I’ve been absolutely blown away by the Govee Light Studio’s Color Match feature. It’s so intuitive and precise, allowing me to set the exact mood I want in any room. For instance, I’ve programmed my living room lights to transition from warm whites to vibrant hues during movie nights, creating an immersive cinematic experience.

However, I’ve encountered a minor hiccup with the Shelly 1 switch controlling my garage door. While it works perfectly with the Shelly app, I’m struggling to get push notifications when the door is operated manually using the original button or the 433MHz remote. I’m hoping someone in the community can shed some light on how to configure this properly without relying on cloud integration.

Another thing I’ve been experimenting with is creating scenes for multiple lightbulbs. It would be fantastic if there was a way to group all four of my bulbs into a single scene, especially for music nights where synchronized lighting adds to the ambiance. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this feature will be added soon!

On a lighter note, I’ve also been exploring the festive side of smart lighting. With the holiday season approaching, I’m planning to set up some blinking effects for my outdoor lights. However, I’ve noticed that when I enable the blink feature, the color changes unexpectedly. I’d love to keep the color consistent while adding that festive twinkle. Has anyone figured out how to achieve this?

All in all, the possibilities with smart home automation are endless, and I’m thrilled to be part of such an innovative community. It’s amazing how these devices can transform our living spaces into truly smart homes. If anyone has tips or tricks for optimizing their setups, I’d love to hear them!

Happy automating!
