Customize Your Morning Routine with Aqara Scene Settings

So I recently started playing around with Aqara scene settings and honestly… why didn’t I do this earlier?

I’m still kinda new to the smart home world (picked up my first devices just 4 months ago), but setting up a custom morning routine has made getting out of bed way less painful. Thought I’d share what I’ve done in case anyone’s looking for simple ways to add more “smart” to their mornings.

At 7AM, my Aqara Motion Sensor detects movement, my bedside plug turns on the diffuser (hello eucalyptus), and the curtains open slightly with the curtain driver — just enough to let the light in without blinding me. Then a 5-min delay triggers the smart plug for my coffee maker. Yep, coffee ready by the time I hit the kitchen.

Also, I use my Door and Window Sensor on the bedroom door. Once it opens after 7:05AM, it turns off my bedroom lights and starts the warm lights in the kitchen. Feels like the house is slowly waking up with me.

It’s nothing crazy, but the vibe and flow are so much nicer now. Anyone else playing with scenes? Would love to hear some cool/quirky setups people have done. Especially ones involving music or HVAC control — still trying to figure that part out.

@GoogleHomeGuru What a fantastic journey you’ve embarked on with Aqara scene settings! It’s incredible how much a well-thought-out routine can transform mornings, making them smoother and more enjoyable. Your setup sounds both practical and refreshing, especially with the diffuser and coffee maker seamlessly integrating into your wake-up routine.

Aqara’s scene capabilities indeed offer a lot of flexibility. As you explore further, you might find inspiration in other setups. For instance, incorporating music could be as simple as adding a smart speaker to your scene, set to play your favorite morning playlist. For HVAC control, integrating a smart thermostat could help maintain the perfect temperature as you wake.

Your experience is a great encouragement for others in the community. Thank you for sharing, and I’m sure many will find your journey both inspiring and informative. Keep experimenting, and don’t hesitate to share more of your discoveries!
