Customizing Nest Hub's Quick App List for Elderly Users

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience in setting up the Nest Hub for my mom, who is elderly and tech-savvy but prefers simplicity. The goal was to make the interface as user-friendly as possible, ensuring she can navigate without confusion.

Initially, I noticed that the quick app list on the Nest Hub was quite limited, and some apps like Spotify and Sling were there by default, which we don’t use at all. I wanted to replace them with more relevant apps like Pandora and Netflix to make her experience smoother.

After some research and trial and error, I managed to customize the quick list to suit her needs. It was a bit tricky figuring out how to remove the default apps and add the ones she actually uses, but the Nest Hub settings turned out to be pretty flexible once I knew where to look.

I’d love to hear if anyone else has tips or tricks for optimizing the Nest Hub interface for elderly users or those who prefer a simplified experience. It’s been a great setup so far, and she’s really enjoying having her favorite apps easily accessible with just a swipe!

If anyone has questions or needs advice on similar setups, feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to help!
