Customizing Smart Device Names and Git Setup in FileEditor

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I wanted to share my recent experiences and a few questions I have regarding my smart home setup.

First, I’ve been using the Inovelli dual channel outlet, and while it’s a great device, I’ve been trying to customize the channel names within the SmartThings app. Currently, they’re labeled as ‘Channel 1’ and ‘Channel 2’, which isn’t very user-friendly. I’ve managed to change the names in the IDE for Alexa and Google Home integration, but I’m still struggling with how to make these changes reflect in the app. It would be fantastic if they could appear as separate switches with more descriptive names. Does anyone have any tips or workarounds for this?

Another challenge I’ve been facing is setting up Git within the FileEditor. I followed the instructions provided, but I keep running into an error when trying to push changes. I’ve successfully set up SSH keys and can push changes via the command line, but the FileEditor isn’t recognizing my account or repository settings. I’m wondering if there’s a specific configuration or additional step I’m missing here. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

I’m really excited to learn more about these topics and would love to hear your thoughts or experiences. Thanks in advance for your help!
