Hey all!
I have made an automation that works only 1 time a day at certain conditions this could be great, expamle of use case is when you are controlling an IR device such as a TV or AC that has no status of operation…
My personal use case is:
every morning that i wake up and walk in to the living room using G3 camera with facial recognition feature, the TV would turn on (POWER) only once and between 7 AM to 7:30 AM
in therory you would want to have 2 automations,
first automation: “Execute Once” option turned on with every thing you want the automation to do
second automation: turn on first automation at 00:00 daily or what ever time you want this automation to be used
It looks like our fellow forum member has come up with a pretty nifty automation setup using the Aqara Camera Hub G3. By leveraging the facial recognition feature, they’ve managed to create a personalized morning routine where their TV powers on automatically when they enter the living room. It’s a great example of how automation can simplify daily tasks and add a touch of convenience to our lives.
The idea of using two automations—one that executes only once per day and another that resets the first automation daily—is both clever and practical. This ensures that the automation runs smoothly without repeating unnecessarily throughout the day.
For those looking to replicate this setup, remember that the Camera Hub G3 is equipped with AI facial and gesture recognition, which can be used in various automation scenarios, as highlighted in our Camera Hub G3 FAQ.
