As an owner of the Hub S1 Plus, I am feeling rather disappointed in the device as a whole.
I currently use it, as an aqara zigbee hub with various switches and lights to cover my home, I’ve even exposed this over matter over thread to my home assistant instance, everything works fine however recently build an instance of home assistant and Z2MQTT using an SMLight co-ordinator to directly control a number of switches as I genuinely cannot see the need for this S1 panel anymore.
Secondly I purchased the G400 Doorbell PoE and for whatever reason, it cannot stream directly to the Panel it just constantly lags, and there doesn’t seem to be a way of have a live stream pop up on motion event the device.
Did I undervalue this device? Would I have just been better just using an other H2 EU switch to control my lights rather than trying to build a smart panel?
Did I make a mistake purchasing this device as eveything that I want to be able to do i.e schedules, automations just feel tacky via App.
I have the S1 Plus and several G5 Pros and a G410 and they stream flawlessly to the S1 Plus, so do you have sufficient WiFi coverage for the doorbell and S1 Plus?

Hi, sorry for your experience with the S1 panel plus! I have connected several cams and a G410 doorbell to the panel and no delay!
But I also hope to get more features to it- so maybe we get more next to Siri integration

Coverage isn’t an issue from what I can tell as I the Panel reports full bars and the AP is probably about 10meters away.
When I go into the settings (via the app), the UI seems to suggest that the camera isn’t an accessory or a child device so that kind of confuses me as I expected this to be the case.
The G400 does appear to function on its own without any issues, i get notifications and play is fine on mobile devices including when I’m away from home.
Its just the Panel seems to struggle…
Update:
I managed to get this working as expected after make a couple of changes.
1 - I’d previously enabled security on the live stream which prompted for a pin, by disabling this it appears to have resolved the slow connection from the S1 plus.
2 - Rebooted the S1 panel, then proceeded to create couple automations to start a live stream on the panel when a person is detected and triggers the door bell ring.
Marked as resolved as my secondary issue is solved however my questions around the device still stand.
I hope the device experience improves and the software improvements continue as it could do with a refinements.
