Dimmer Installation and LED Flickering Issue Solved

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent experience with installing a new dimmer switch in my house. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but I managed to figure it out, and I thought I’d document the process in case anyone else runs into similar issues.

So, I decided to upgrade my lighting system by installing a bunch of LED lights and dimmer switches. Everything went smoothly in most rooms, but I ran into a problem in the hallway. The LED light there kept flickering, even when the switch was off. It was pretty annoying, and I couldn’t figure out why it was happening. The app wasn’t reporting any wattage, and I had successfully calibrated the dimmer without any issues. I even checked if there was a bypass resistor installed, but there wasn’t one.

I did some research online and found that flickering can sometimes be caused by the way the dimmer interacts with the LED bulb. After a bit of trial and error, I discovered that the flickering was due to the dimmer’s sensitivity settings. By adjusting the sensitivity in the app, I was able to reduce the flickering significantly. It wasn’t a perfect fix, but it made the hallway much more usable.

One thing I learned from this experience is how important it is to read the manufacturer’s instructions carefully. I also realized that sometimes the solution is simpler than you think—it just takes a bit of patience and experimentation.

I hope this helps anyone else who might be dealing with similar issues. If you have any questions or tips, feel free to drop them in the comments below!
