So I just got the Acura dimmer switch H2 and I have an automation to where when I press the up and down button for dimming that it dims the light like 5%. I was wondering, is there a way to when holding the up or down arrow buttons that the lights will dim up or dim down? I’m not finding a way or how to do it
Welcome to the forum. I skimmed the H2 manual and it appears this is already built-in functionality.
Per the manual: long-pressing the brightness +/- button does exactly what you’re after, it linearly ramps the brightness up or down to max/min while you hold it. That’s a native function on the switch itself, not something you have to construct with an automation.
From the manual:
Long press the brightness +/- button → Linearly adjust the brightness to the brightest/darkest
And the adjacent row for context, since it’s what he’s currently using instead:
Single-press the brightness +/- button → Brightness up/down in 10% increments

I thought I seen that too but I have the dimmer switch in my bathroom and I have it hooked up to the aqara t2 lightbulbs and holding the button does nothing same for pressing them I had to add a automation to be able to press and have the dim up or down 5% each time
