DIN Rail Dimmer Module Recommendations

I’m in the process of upgrading my home’s lighting system and have been on the hunt for the perfect DIN rail dimmer module. My requirements are pretty specific: it needs to support at least 4 channels, be mountable on a DIN rail, and ideally communicate via a wired protocol like DALI rather than relying on wireless solutions like Zigbee or Z-Wave. I’m also looking for something that can be controlled directly by wall switches and integrate seamlessly with my existing Home Assistant setup.

After doing some research, I stumbled upon the Somfy TaHoma system, which seems to tick most of my boxes. Their dimmer modules are designed for DIN rail mounting and support multiple channels. The real bonus is their compatibility with the DALI protocol, which allows for precise control and integration with smart home systems. I’m particularly impressed with how smoothly it works with Home Assistant once configured properly.

One thing I’d caution others about is the initial setup. It requires a bit of tweaking to get everything communicating correctly, especially if you’re not familiar with DALI. However, once everything is up and running, the results are well worth the effort. The ability to control each channel independently and create custom scenes within Home Assistant has really elevated my lighting experience.

If you’re in the market for something similar, I’d highly recommend exploring the Somfy TaHoma range. Their support resources are also quite comprehensive, which helps if you run into any issues during installation. Happy dimming everyone! :star2:
