I’m trying to figure out how to disable the circadian light flow when I manually adjust the brightness of my Hue lights in the living room. Currently, the lights automatically change in brightness and color temperature based on the sun’s position, which is great, but I want this flow to pause when I make manual adjustments.
I’ve managed to set this up with the physical Hue dimmer buttons by disabling the flow when the brightness is changed, but I’m struggling to replicate this behavior when adjusting brightness via the Hue or Homey apps.
Here’s how it works with the physical buttons:
- Pressing the dimmer button adjusts the brightness and disables the circadian flow.
- The flow re-enables when the lights are turned off completely or during sunrise/sunset events.
I want the same functionality when adjusting brightness through the app. Essentially, anytime the brightness changes manually (not through the flow), I want the circadian flow to be disabled until the lights are turned off or the next sun event occurs.
Has anyone successfully implemented something similar? Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated! ![]()
