There are so many things I can use this for. I can’t wait to get one
My observation so far notification of closed door and open door quite slow compared to Ring contact sensor. I was hoping to replace them with Aqara, but this lag or delay in getting notification make my confidence low for switching. May be some future firmware solves this issues may be.
I received mine today. Preliminary i wanted to install it on my son chair to monitore his time at the desk but finally i tried with window. I Poland double function windows are standard (opening and tilting) i was curious how it works. Unfortunately tilting is recognized as opening and after having window open by 3h and closing it sensor didn’t noted that movement. After pushing button an opening and closing window just after eveything worked very well. Will see tomorrow. I also tried bind sensor with w600 valve which sees sensor but notify constantly about binding fail. So far mixed feelings. As a window detector it would be cool to have reliable device without magnet. I have also mixed feelings about new battery cover opening system. In my opinion coin suitable hole was more reliable.
Awesome I had mine switched to thread, and it only had door sensing so when I updated to Zigbee and then all my other options became available
Looks great! I hope it releases soon
I received yesterday. I add it via zigbee to the M3 and it automatically shows to HomeKit. It attached to a window that has also incline capability! That I don’t understand is why in HomeKit is appears as six accessories! Here some photos/screenshot and a short video! Multi-State-Sensor-P100.
I wanted to test it on a simple automation with the triple tap option. But I see that it doesn’t work. Nothing happens.
Hello, thank you for your feedback. The switch you mentioned has a delay. Do you mean the delay of status display on the APP page, or is there actually a delay in automatic triggering? Generally speaking, the refresh of the APP may not be so real-time, so it is suggested that the specific time displayed on the automation or log shall prevail. Looking forward to your more information!
The delay observed the moment door is opened and automation triggers notification and also when door is closed and notification arrived. It’s almost 6-8 seconds.

So are these any different than the usual door open close sensors? I’m home after 3 yrs volunteering in the “ Intrnl Legion for Dfns in Ukraijni” And had to spend 3 mos in the Hospital in Warsaw Polska. So I’m home working on trying to get a great setup but so far AppleTVHomekit Hub, 4 G100 cams, 4 Outdoor LIFX Colored bulbs, but due to sometimes getting NO notification even on my TV I had a home invasion my first week back at 8am! My wife just left for work not 3 min later I heard noises at my back door, ultimately I received no notification at all my cat alerted me and I armed myself in time as my door was kicked in. So I’ve been reaching out to Aqara re: the M3 hub as I was told it’d make all the devices responses more snappy ie: When a person or car at 6:30pm-6am triggers the lights to bright white 100% then after it returns to the preset Goodnight Scene color. And more features? So I wanted to also the 2 more Cameras and a G410 Video Doorbell X1, a U100 Lock X1, some open/close sensors X3, Motion sensors X2, M3 Hub X1, Do you have any recommendations (I asked you as I see you’re clearly Slavic as am I born in Hrvatska,Dalmatia/Split. My fam since 1500’s were originally Nobility we still own a village of about 128 Martinac,Croatia and btw you should Wikipedia “Pop”Martinac the first to start our family tree , recently as he was a Priest , Colligrafor and Illuminator scrolls were found stuffed in the walls written in Golgothic about the lost Ottoman War etc. We moved during the War when I was child in the 90’s. Josip Martinac Great great Grandfather owned Martinac Shipping on the island Zadar,Croatia (during the Austro-Hungarian Empire w/ Kingdom of Croatia, Dalmatia & Slovenske so during WW1 the USA recruited him for his talents in military oceanic vehicles such as the ones they used on D Day in WW2.He and family were living in Tacoma WA. So sorry for all that . lol. Does anyone know if Aqara ever does things like given my situation and really needing the M3 and In exchange until I’m back to work(PTSD and waking up hearing airaide sirens for Ballistic Missles or Drone swarms took off and are inbound I’m hoping my therapy dog will be ready soon she’s a blue pit “Freya” )So I’m waiting till some meds and time without my safe spaces being violated overseas and at home. Sorry for so much info, but I believe we have a person who’s Polske also under ur name. So hello to the community. And if you need to know I have AT&T 1 gig upload 1gig download. 2 story double sided duplex so not crazy distance. Thank you

I finally received the sensor and got it connected to the M3 Hub using Zigbee. From there I have it shared to HomeKit via the HomeKit connection and Home Assistant via Matter.
So far what I am using it for is not very exciting. I have installed it on my back door to alert me when the door is opened and to turn on the backyard lights when I open the door at night.
I have noticed one issue. Sometimes the status of the sensor is not updated in Apple Home after I open and then close the door. It will continue showing open and after several minutes it will update to close. Sometimes opening the door and closing it again will trigger it to update immediately. This does not happen with the M3 hub or Home Assistant.
since using has anything changed on the notifications on open/close? i’m looking to replace my eve door sensor at some point and that device sends notification pretty much instantly upon opening and closing.
like you if there is a delay with this new sensor, i would have low confidence in the product.
Smart TV Ceiling Mount – Updated with Aqara Multi-Presence Sensor P100
I wanted to share an update to my original smart TV ceiling mount project.
If you haven’t read it, here is a link for your convenience:
I’ve replaced the Aqara Door & Window Sensor with the Aqara Multi-Presence Sensor P100, and the upgrade has made a big difference in flexibility and control.
With the P100 in place, I’m now automating both my outdoor TV and my Apple TV based on whether the ceiling TV mount is in the “up” position or pulled down for viewing. The automation is triggered by monitoring the mount’s open and close state, which works perfectly for this setup.
Some of my favorite features so far:
• Ability to adjust the reporting interval
• Adjustable sensitivity settings
• Flexibility in choosing exactly what you want to monitor
• A wide range of selectable detection events
In my case, I specifically wanted to monitor opening and closing. I was especially impressed with the variety of door and window types available to choose from during setup. Selecting “hinged window” most closely matched the behavior of my ceiling TV mount, and it’s been working flawlessly.
I’m sure there are many other creative use cases for this sensor that I haven’t even explored yet. This is my first time deploying the Aqara Multi-Presence Sensor P100, but it definitely won’t be my last.
If anyone is considering automating a drop-down or hinged ceiling mount, this sensor is absolutely worth a look.
@MakerMing Do you have any suggestions on getting the P100 to properly display on the Apple Home App?
Can’t wait to get one!
Hello, knocking three times requires certain strength and speed. Please adjust the sensitivity to high, but then try several times.
Hi, When the Zigbee protocol is used to connect to the Home Assistant or other third-party platform of Matter, five “wireless switch” devices will be obtained in the “item guarding mode”, corresponding to five actions that can support detection (vibration, moving, falling, knocking three times and tilting). Because it is impossible to name the functions to the third party synchronously, users need to test each switch separately, judge the corresponding functions of the switches and name them to distinguish them.
I have had it a while now and after trying thread have switched back to ZigBee. Unfortunately I want to use vibration and triple tap as triggers but triple tap is inconsistent for me. I need to see if I can make changes to what I need as triggers if this is going to be consistent.
