Hoping someone can help. I have a Display v1 EU switch and it’s been behaving oddly recently and has started developing more serious issues.
Issue 1. Today (3/sep/2025) it started to continually restart, the screen goes black, the aqara logo appears, the switches appear and the the screen goes black ad infinitum. I removed the device and factory reset, connecting to an M3 but unfortunately, the same thing. As a quick test I instead connected it to a slave E1 and it’s fine. No restarting. It’s a little bit unresponsive, but it seems odd. The E1 is closer, but checking the signal log while in the M3, it’s mostly excellent.
Issue 2. This may or may not be related, last week I started noticing odd behaviour with the wireless light switches associated with the display via Home assistant automations. The switches would randomly turn on the lights connected to the automation on and off. I’ve solved the issue by having the automation only look for initial_press and button increment >0 as it seemed from the HA logs to be firing random events (not button presses) at home assistant, the aqara log shows no events happen. I also created a state signal in the m3 aqara automation as a fall back. This was never an issue when I set up the automation months ago
I suppose my question is, anyone else had a change in behaviour and does anyone know what’s going on. I don’t recall any firmware updates that could have triggered this, certainly not for today’s issue.
