Hi everyone, I’ve been exploring ways to integrate my DIY projects with my Google Nest Hub. One thing I’ve been curious about is displaying custom variables, like my DIY rain gauge measurements, on the Nest Hub screen. I’ve managed to get the voice response working through routines and Homey, but I’d love to have the value displayed large on the screen, similar to how it shows the temperature when you ask about the weather.
I’ve tried using dashboards, but that’s not exactly what I’m looking for. I’m wondering if there’s a way to push the value to a website and then cast it to the Nest Hub. I don’t have much experience with web development or hosting, so I’m not sure where to start. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
On a different note, I’ve been really impressed with the automation setup I’ve created for my Hue lights. I use virtual switches and apps to trigger different lighting scenes based on various events, like motion detection or time of day. It’s given me a lot more control and flexibility in how I manage my home’s lighting. If anyone is interested, I’d be happy to share more details or even walk through the setup process.
Lastly, I’ve been experimenting with the new Govee RGBICW String Lights. They’ve added a whole new dimension to my home entertainment setup, especially with their music modes. It’s amazing how they sync with the music and create a dynamic atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend checking them out if you’re looking to enhance your home’s ambiance with smart lighting solutions.
