Hey everyone! I wanted to share a fun project I recently completed that combines my love for LEGO art and smart home technology. As a gift to my fiancée, I got her a LEGO orchid set, and in return, she surprised me with a LEGO Mickey Mouse art piece. It was the perfect opportunity to showcase both our interests while integrating some smart home magic!
I decided to use my Govee ambient lighting strips to bring the LEGO art to life. The result? Absolutely stunning! The dynamic lighting not only highlights the intricate details of the LEGO pieces but also creates a relaxing and immersive atmosphere. Here’s a quick rundown of what I did:

Setup: I mounted the LEGO art pieces on a custom-built display shelf. The Govee LED strips were installed along the edges and behind the display to ensure even lighting coverage.

Color Coordination: Using the Govee app, I programmed preset color schemes that complement the LEGO sets. For the orchid, I went with soft pastels to mimic natural lighting, while the Mickey Mouse display features vibrant colors that match the playful theme.

Scene Automation: I set up scene automation to switch between different lighting modes throughout the day. For example, during the evening, the lights dim to a warm white to create a cozy ambiance, while during the day, they cycle through colorful patterns to add some visual interest.

Energy Efficiency: I was impressed by how energy-efficient the Govee strips are. Even with multiple strips running 24/7, the power consumption remains minimal, which is great for both the environment and my electricity bill.
