Hey everyone! I wanted to share a fun project I recently completed—a DIY banana light! 
I’ve always been interested in creative home decorations, especially ones that incorporate technology. This project was a great way to combine my love for smart home devices with a bit of DIY crafting.
The idea came to me while brainstorming ways to add some tropical flair to my living room. I decided to create a banana-shaped light using some basic materials and a smart LED strip. The process was surprisingly simple! I used a foam core board to shape the banana, covered it with yellow fabric, and added some details like small dots to mimic the texture of a real banana.
To bring it to life, I connected it to my smart home system using a simple rule that turns it on when the room is dark. It’s been a hit, and my kids absolutely love it! Not only does it add a pop of color to the room, but it also serves as a great conversation starter.
