This was the most exciting part of the project. I sourced a Funkmodul from ELV, which, after some soldering, became the backbone of my CCU. If you’re not confident in your soldering skills, don’t worry—many local electronics shops can help you with that. **
Enclosure:
To give my project a polished look, I selected an Orbital Case for the Raspberry Pi. It’s sleek, space-efficient, and best of all, it keeps everything neatly organized. **

Software Choices:
I explored several options and settled on YAHM (Yet Another Homematic), which aligns with my preference for a more open and customizable system. However, I would recommend RaspberryMATIC for those new to Linux, as it offers a smoother setup process. **
Future Enhancements:
This is just the beginning! I have a few more components in mind to take this project to the next level. I’m particularly excited about integrating a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) to ensure uninterrupted operation, even during power outages.
