DIY Coffee Table Makeover & Smart Lighting Setup

Hey everyone! I wanted to share a fun project I’ve been working on. Last night, I ran into an issue with my 32’ LED strip—one half just stopped working out of nowhere! After some troubleshooting, I decided to take it as an opportunity to overhaul my coffee table. I ended up removing the non-working half and repurposed it into a gaming desk rope setup. It’s been a blast experimenting with different lighting configurations!

I also added some white tape around the table to reflect the light a bit more—super simple but makes a big difference! I’ve always loved finding little projects to keep myself busy, and this one turned out pretty cool. I’m now inspired to tackle my Maps and The Beatles picture frames next. If anyone has tips for similar DIY projects, I’d love to hear them!

On another note, I’ve been exploring smart lighting solutions and came across the Sengled Element Color lights. They seem like a great deal, but I’m curious if anyone has tips on syncing them with music or creating thunderstorm effects like with Hue lights. Any advice would be awesome!

Thanks for reading, and here’s to more DIY adventures!
