Hey , Share a little weekend project that turned into something cooler than I expected. I’ve been dabbling with the Aqara ecosystem for a bit (def not a pro), and recently I started playing around with custom dashboards. Enter: Rounded.
I stumbled across Rounded while looking for a cleaner, more intuitive look for my wall tablet and phone dashboards. Honestly, the default HA interface was fine, but it wasn’t wowing anyone in my household. Rounded completely changed that—it’s sleek, fast, and super customizable.
What worked for me:
- WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor) went WAY up. She actually uses the lights dashboard now.
- Set up zones by rooms and added cute icons. Simple but makes a legit difference.
- The “Now Playing” card for the Sonos in the living room? Chef’s kiss.
If you’re not super technical, don’t worry—it’s mostly YAML and a bit of copy-pasting to get started. Rounded has awesome starter themes that you can tweak. Took me a Saturday and a few cups of coffee.
