Creating a floating light decoration was a fun project! I wanted to add some ambiance to my pool area, and this DIY project seemed perfect. Here’s what I did:
Materials Needed:
- Foam pipe insulation
- Battery-operated LED candles
- Decorative elements (flowers, leaves)
- Fishing line
- Scissors
Steps:
- Cut the pipe insulation into circular pieces, about 2-3 inches wide. I stacked a few to make it more buoyant.
- Placed the LED candles on top. They were stable enough without any adhesive.
- Added some flowers around the base for decoration. I used waterproof glue to keep them in place.
- Tested the buoyancy in a small tub. It floated perfectly!
Result:
It looks amazing in the pool during the evening! The LED candles create a soft glow, and the flowers add a nice touch. My neighbors loved it too!
