Hey everyone, I wanted to share a fun DIY project I recently completed. I took apart my old Google Home Mini (gen 1) and repurposed it into a smart light switch! The process was a bit challenging, but the result is amazing. I integrated a Tuya 3-gang light switch into the setup, moving the relays to the ceiling to save space. Powering the Google Home Mini was straightforward using its original adapter, while the relays are powered by an AC to 5V converter. For the light switch itself, I added a 5V to 3.3V DC converter to ensure everything runs smoothly. I’d love to hear if anyone else has tried something similar or has tips for improving the setup!
