Hey everyone, I wanted to share a fun DIY project I recently completed! I’ve been into smart lighting for a while now, and I’ve been on the hunt for ways to integrate my Govee RGBIC lights into different parts of my home. Well, I think I found the perfect solution!
My brother gave me a floor lamp he received as a gift, but he couldn’t be bothered to assemble it. I saw this as the perfect opportunity to get creative. Instead of using the strip of lights that came with it, I decided to replace them with my Govee RGBIC lights. Why? Simple—so it can still be part of my Govee family of products!
The process was straightforward. I took apart the lamp, removed the original lighting strip, and carefully installed the Govee lights. Once everything was back together, I powered it up and violà! I now have an awesome new Govee floor lamp that perfectly complements my smart home setup. ![]()
This project was a great way to repurpose an unused item and integrate it into my existing smart ecosystem. It also gave me a chance to experiment with different lighting configurations. If you’re looking for a fun DIY project, I’d highly recommend giving this a try!
