Hey everyone, I wanted to share a fun little DIY project I worked on recently. It all started with my purchase of a Govee Night Light Egg, which I absolutely loved the moment I saw it. However, I noticed that the lighting inside wasn’t quite what I was hoping for—it was a bit too plain and lacked the vibrant colors I love so much.
So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and give it a little upgrade. I had an extra Govee RGBIC Bluetooth strip lying around, which I had purchased for a mere $11-$14. I thought, why not give it a try and see if I could create something special?
The process was surprisingly simple, but as someone who isn’t exactly a DIY expert, it was a bit of a challenge. I carefully unwrapped the LED strip and found a way to insert it into the egg, hoping it would fit without any issues. To my delight, it did! However, the result wasn’t exactly what I had envisioned. The colors didn’t blend as smoothly as I had hoped, and the overall effect was a bit lackluster.
But hey, that’s the beauty of DIY projects, right? It’s all about the journey and learning from the experience. I ended up with a unique, one-of-a-kind night light that adds a quirky touch to my room. Plus, it was a great way to repurpose an extra LED strip I had lying around.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this project! Have any of you tried similar DIY upgrades with your Govee products? I’m always looking for new ideas and tips to improve my future projects. Let’s keep the creativity flowing! ![]()
