I recently added some Govee LED strips to my kitchen cabinets, and it’s been a game-changer! The vibrant colors really bring the space to life, especially during the holidays or when entertaining guests. But I wanted to take it a step further and make the colors change throughout the day. Here’s what I did:
- Morning Energizer - Set the lights to a cool, bright white in the morning to mimic natural light and help me start the day feeling energized.
- Relaxing Afternoon - Switched to a warm, golden hue during the afternoon for a cozy, calm vibe while I work from home.
- Evening Wind Down - Ended the day with a soft, dimmed amber light to help me unwind before bed.
Tips for Color Coordination
- Seasonal Themes - Don’t be afraid to mix in seasonal colors! For example, green tones in the kitchen during St. Patrick’s Day or festive reds and greens for Christmas.
- Natural Light Integration - Use daylight sensors to automatically adjust the lighting based on the time of day. It’s a seamless way to create a natural transition.
- Create a Mood Board - Before diving into settings, think about the mood you want to achieve in each room. Pinterest or even simple sketches can help visualize the perfect setup.
DIY Lighting Hacks
