Hey everyone! I wanted to share a fun project I recently worked on with my new Govee curtain lights. It’s been a fantastic way to get into the holiday spirit while also diving into some DIY creativity. ![]()

So, I started by exploring the pre-made scenes Govee offers for Christmas. They’re amazing, but I had specific scenes in mind that I really wanted to bring to life. That’s when I decided to try my hand at creating some DIY moving scenes. I have to admit, I’m not a graphic artist by any means, but the process was super enjoyable and rewarding!
One of my favorite creations is a moving train scene. I used the finger sketch and layering features to design it. Since I only have one set of lights, I focused on creating smooth, continuous movements without abrupt jumps. I set it up in carousel display mode, which plays each layer one after the other, giving it a seamless feel.
Here’s a quick tip for anyone looking to try something similar: start by setting the background to no color. This allows you to create darker areas where needed, making your scenes more dynamic. I also experimented with adjusting the speed and timing to get the perfect flow.
The best part? My family absolutely loves it! It’s become a fun conversation starter and a delightful addition to our holiday decorations. If you’re thinking about trying some DIY scenes, I highly recommend it. It’s a great way to personalize your space and have some creative fun!
Happy holidays, everyone! ![]()
