Hey everyone! I wanted to share an exciting DIY project I recently completed for a party, and also give a shoutout to Govee for their amazing products. ![]()
I’ve always been fascinated by creating unique lighting effects, and after seeing something similar at a festival, I decided to bring that vibe home. My project involved using hollow-core panels and LED strips to create a dynamic, disco-like effect. Here’s a quick rundown of how I did it:
-
Materials: I used hollow-core panels from a local hardware store and LED strips from Govee. The panels were perfect for sliding the LEDs through their channels, and the Govee strips were bright and easy to control.
-
Installation: I tilted the panels at an angle and used a small weight to slide the LEDs through. Making sure all LEDs faced the same direction was crucial for the effect. I placed the panels close to a wall to reflect the light nicely.
-
Setup: Turning it on was the best part! The colors and gradients looked amazing, and it really transformed the space. I even created a gradient effect by adjusting the settings on my phone.
This project was a hit at my last party, and it’s super easy to take down and reuse. Huge thanks to Govee for their reliable products and excellent customer service! ![]()
