I’ve always been fascinated by DIY lighting projects, and I recently decided to dive into the world of RGBIC LED strip lights. Inspired by a friend’s glowing holiday decorations, I wanted to create something truly special for my home. Little did I know, this project would turn into a fun and rewarding challenge!
I started by experimenting with different flame color combinations on the RGBIC LED strips. The vibrant hues were absolutely stunning, and I couldn’t resist trying out every preset pattern available in the Govee app. To take it up a notch, I decided to pair the LED strips with the warm white lighting of my Lyra lamp. The result? A perfect blend of festive flair and cozy ambiance.
One of the most exciting parts of this project was sharing it with the community. A fellow DIY enthusiast reached out to me, asking if the Lyra lamp could be customized with the same warm white effect. It was a great opportunity to collaborate and troubleshoot together, and I’m happy to say we nailed it!
The best part? I documented the entire process and created a custom alternating Christmas pattern for the Govee app. It was such a hit that I even got to feature it in a holiday social media post with Nashville SC’s mascot, Tempo the Coyote. The festive spirit was contagious, and I couldn’t help but smile when I saw the final result!
This project taught me the value of experimentation and community collaboration. If you’re thinking about diving into DIY lighting, I highly recommend starting small and embracing the creative process. The satisfaction of seeing your hard work come to life is truly unbeatable!
Happy holidays, and here’s to more DIY adventures in the future! ![]()
