DIY Security Panel Setup and Motion Detection Integration

Hey everyone, I’m currently working on setting up a DIY security panel using an Android tablet. The idea is to have it display a dashboard with statuses of my smart home devices, like the security system, lights, and temperature. I’m using ActionTiles and Sharptools for this, which have been great so far. However, I want to take it a step further by integrating motion detection from my Arlo Pro cameras.

Here’s the scenario I’m aiming for: the panel shows the dashboard normally, but when motion is detected on my front porch, it switches to a full-screen live stream of the security camera. Once the motion stops, it goes back to the dashboard. It sounds pretty straightforward, but I’m still figuring out how to automate this transition. I’ve heard about WebCore being useful for such tasks, but I’m not entirely sure how to set it up.

I’m also considering whether I might need to switch to a different camera system if Arlo doesn’t support this integration seamlessly. If anyone has experience with similar setups or knows of a reliable method to achieve this, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Let’s brainstorm together on how to make this DIY project a success.
