DIY Smart Camera Integration: My Experience and Tips

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent DIY project integrating multiple cameras into a single, unified system. I’ve always been fascinated by home automation, and this project was a great way to dive deeper into it.I started with three cameras from the T1 and T1S series. The goal was to create a seamless experience, but honestly, it was quite a challenge at first. The main issue was managing the controllers and power sources for each camera. I spent a lot of time researching and experimenting, but it was worth it in the end. After some trial and error, I decided to create my own sync box using the existing controllers. The process involved splicing the lights behind my TV, which are powered by an unauthorized source. While this does void the warranty, it was a necessary step to achieve the desired setup. The result? A much simpler and more efficient system for controlling my Govee lights. If anyone is considering a similar project, here are a few tips I’d like to share:1. Plan Ahead: Sketch out your setup and identify potential challenges before you start.2. Power Management: Ensure you have a reliable power source, especially if you’re dealing with multiple devices.3. Test Each Component: Before integrating everything, test each part individually to catch any issues early. This project has been a fantastic learning experience, and I’m excited to see how I can expand it further. If anyone has questions or suggestions, feel free to reach out! Happy tinkering!
