Hey everyone, I wanted to share a fun DIY project I recently completed to organize my smart home setup. I’ve been using Flow Pro cameras for a while now, but they always seemed a bit too bulky on my desk. After some brainstorming, I decided to build a sleek, minimalist stand using LEGO bricks. It turned out even better than I expected!
Here’s a quick rundown of how I did it:
- Base Layer: I started with a 6x4 LEGO plate as the foundation. It’s sturdy and provides enough space for the camera without taking up too much desk real estate.
- Height Adjustment: To make the stand a bit taller, I added a couple of LEGO brick layers. This helps angle the camera just right for optimal coverage.
- Camera Mount: I used two 1x4 LEGO bricks to create a channel for the camera’s neck. This keeps the camera securely in place without any risk of damage.
- Stabilization: On the side opposite the lens, I added a 2x4 LEGO plate to keep the camera from shifting. It’s a simple touch that makes a big difference in stability.
- Optional Touches: I also added a small piece of non-permanent double-sided tape to keep the stand in place. For a bit of flair, I used a black vinyl sticker to cover the tape, giving it a polished look.
The best part? This whole project cost me less than $10 and took about 30 minutes to build. It’s a great way to repurpose old LEGO bricks and add a personal touch to your smart home setup.
