DIY Smart Charger & Govee Lighting Setup

Hey everyone! I wanted to share a couple of exciting projects I’ve been working on lately. First off, I’ve been diving into creating my own smart charger using Home Assistant, Node-RED, and some smart plugs. It’s been a fantastic way to optimize my charging routine, especially for my phone and other devices. The setup uses the Home Assistant companion app to detect which device is charging and stops the charge at around 90%, which is super handy for preserving battery life. I’ve also added a countdown feature for devices without the companion app installed, which displays the remaining time in Lovelace. It’s been a great learning experience, and I’m really happy with how it turned out! :tada:

On another note, I’ve been experimenting with Govee smart lights to create some spooky Halloween decorations. Pairing them with some creepy animatronics has been a blast! The Govee app makes it so easy to set up scenes and schedules, and the RGB capabilities really bring the mood to life. I’ve also been impressed with how well they integrate with my existing smart home setup. If you’re looking to add some festive lighting this season, I highly recommend checking them out! :ghost::sparkles:

I’d love to hear about any cool projects you’ve been working on or any tips you have for optimizing charging routines or lighting setups. Let’s keep the creativity flowing! :bulb:
