Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent project where I integrated a smart coffee machine into my Home Assistant setup. It’s been a fun journey, and I’d love to hear your thoughts or any tips you might have!
I’ve been using a Switchbot to control my coffee machine, paired with a Moes current sensing outlet. The goal was to keep the machine’s state in sync with Home Assistant, ensuring that both the app and reality stay一致. I found a great blueprint on GitHub that helped me achieve this, and it’s been working smoothly so far. The setup allows me to remotely power the machine on or off, which is super handy!
For those interested in the visual side of things, I’ve also been experimenting with custom Lovelace UI themes. I came across a really cool Neon theme that’s perfect for tablets, and I’ve been tweaking it to fit my setup. The design is modern with 3D elements and blur effects, and it automatically adjusts between portrait and landscape modes. It’s been a hit in my morning routine!
One thing I’m curious about is if anyone else has tried integrating their coffee machines with smart devices. Have you encountered any challenges or have any tips? Also, if you’re into custom UIs, I’d love to hear about your favorite themes or any modifications you’ve made to existing ones!
Thanks for reading, and happy brewing! ![]()
