I’ve been using Govee products for a while now, and I must say, they’ve consistently impressed me with their versatility and affordability. Recently, I decided to integrate a few of their products into a cohesive DIY smart lighting setup. I started by covering my ceiling with poster board and painters tape, creating a blank canvas for my lights. I then applied Govee String Lights 2 across the ceiling, using painters tape to secure them in place. To complete the look, I covered the entire structure with poly-fil stuffing, using 3M Adhesive spray to hold everything together. The result? A stunning, immersive lighting display that mimics the look of a stormy sky or a Harry Potter-inspired ceiling!
Integration with Smart Home
To make this setup truly smart, I integrated it with my existing smart home ecosystem. I used a Raspberry Pi to control the lights, setting up automations that adjust the lighting based on the time of day, events, or even my mood.
