DIY Valentine’s Lights and Smart Home Automation Tips

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent DIY project for Valentine’s Day using Govee lights. It was a fun way to add some love to my home while experimenting with RGB strips and wall glides. If you’re into DIY projects, I highly recommend checking out the Govee community for inspiration and tips!

Speaking of Govee, I’ve been using their lights for a while now, and while they’re amazing, I sometimes find them too bright even at 1% brightness. Has anyone else experienced this? I’ve been using darker preset effects to compensate, but I’d love to hear if there’s a better solution out there.

On a different note, I’ve been diving into smart home automation lately. It’s incredible how much you can save on energy by setting up scenes and schedules. For example, using scene switches instead of old analog switches not only saves energy but also makes the home feel more modern. However, I’ve noticed a slight delay in some of my setups, especially around 4 PM-9 PM. Does anyone have tips on reducing this delay?

Lastly, I’m curious about others’ experiences with integrating multiple brands into one cohesive system. I’ve been using a mix of Govee, Shelly, and Aqara devices, and while it works, there’s always room for improvement. If you’ve got any tricks or recommendations, I’d love to hear them!

Happy experimenting, and let’s keep the smart home community thriving! :rocket:
