Does the Aqara Hub help with Apple Home Connect

I am loving my new cameras and door lock. I’m excited to get the new thermostat and the new doorbell when they come out.

The only issue I have had is some times in Apple Home, the Aqara products are not working.

Does the Hub help with this? Can anyone help a newbie?

I have the M3 hub plugged with cable, has been solid for a year or so now
