Dolby Vision Playback Issues on Google Streamer 4K

Hi everyone, I’ve been using the Google Streamer 4K for the past three years, and I’ve noticed a significant issue with Dolby Vision content recently. The content appears too dark, making dark scenes almost unwatchable. Even brighter scenes feel underwhelming in terms of brightness and color vibrancy. While HDR10 content displays perfectly, the problem seems specific to Dolby Vision. Most media players (Exo Player, Kodi, MX Player, VLC) show a black screen when trying to play Dolby Vision content, except for Vimu Player, which works without issues. I’m using a Sony X95H TV, and the device firmware is up to date. Despite waiting over four months, there’s been no update from Google addressing this issue. I’ve tried adjusting TV settings, changing HDMI ports, enabling enhanced settings, and using different media players. As a temporary workaround, I’ve had to force SDR output, but it’s not ideal. Has anyone else experienced this issue with Dolby Vision on Google Streamer 4K? Are there any permanent fixes or optimizations that have worked for you? Could this be a device-specific hardware problem or a broader software issue? I’d really appreciate any insights or tips. Thanks in advance for your help!
