Did anyone here upgrade and notice any major improvements?

I am still thinking about it. What I read so far, distance should be improved and also Thread/Matter is something, that is useful for me…but not sure if 16:9 to 4:3 is really good improvement for me. Some says, that this ratio is better for height, but I would still appreciate wide range to the sides.
