I purchased two video doorbell G4 along with two transformers (exactly the same) to connect them with wires. One G4 works perfect, while the other doesn’t. I’ve tried it with three different transformers, all with the appropriate specifications, but nothing. It sometimes run for a few seconds, and then it stops.
I can use batteries, I know, but I want it to be wired, like the other one.
@josuesanchez It sounds like you’re experiencing some challenges with the wired connection for one of your Smart Video Doorbell G4s. Based on the reference information, here are a few steps you might consider trying:
Check the External Power Supply: Ensure that the power on the transformer is adequate and the wires are not loose. Confirm that the voltage and current specifications match the requirements for the G4 doorbell.
Connection Stability: If the doorbell runs intermittently, inspect for any loose connections or potential interference that might affect the wired power supply. You might want to test the setup with another location or circuit to rule out any environmental factors.
Reset the Doorbell: You could try performing a reset. Long press the reset button on the back of the doorbell for 10 seconds, wait for a while, and see if it stabilizes the operation when wired.
Factory Reset: As a more advanced step, consider a full factory reset, but remember this will erase all settings and pairings. Ensure you have backups or know how to reconfigure your settings.
If these suggestions do not resolve the issue, it might be beneficial to consult Aqara’s customer service for further assistance to explore if there might be a hardware issue with that specific unit.

it supports to use these specifications: 12V-24V AC 0.2A 50/60Hz; 8V-24V DC 0.5A
If an external power supply with inappropriate specifications is used, the circuit board of the doorbell may be damaged; you can open the back panel of the doorbell to confirm whether it is damaged.
