Dual Relay Controller T2 - first relay/circuit broken

Dual Relay Controller T2 - first relay/circuit broken

I have bought my first controller (LLKZMK12LM) almost 2 years ago and it worked like a charm for a year. Controlled two different LED adapters in kitchen, connected to HA via ZHA later via Z2M.

After a year L2 relay/circuit stopped working and become permanently on. I tried both SW and HW switch and I could hear faint click inside the socked but not as loud as when using the L1 circuit/relay.
I tried turning of the circuit breaker for couple of hours, I opened the socked and factory reset the controller - nothing helped.
Finally, I decided to return the product and got a replacement via warranty.

Now the same thing happened after 7 months.
My suspicion is now shifting to the no-name 230->12V LED adapter. Not sure how can I test/prove that might be doing some harm.

Does this happen to anyone else? Any ideas what might be the problem here?

(Before Aqara I had Moes and it worked OK but I decided to replace it due to significant delay when using HW switch.)

Hello, welcome to the forum, what voltage do you power the T2 relay with, 230?

Hi, how do you have the 2 LED adapters connected to the T1 relay and what is powering the T1 relay?

What type of relay is T1. With zero or without zero?

@gafich10 yes, the module is behind the wall switch, connected to 230V, with a neutral wire. After switching it power up 230V->12V LED adapter, which then powers up the LED strips.
@tupshall T2 relay is powered by 230V with neutral and each circuit has one LED adapter behind it.
The disconnect brown cable belongs to L2 (it is out because it would be permanently on)

Hello, what is the T2 load schedule? Are there any anomalies there?

Idea, disconnect the switch wires and check the relay operation from the phone (channel 1,2). Maybe there is a problem with it (the switch).

Tested already - situation is the same on the L2 circuit. “Weak” click, and relay stays on. If I test L1, there is a “louder” click and adapter+led is toggled.

???

Hi @sabomarek why not try another T2 relay? When it’s broken, as you described, you probably need to replace it.
And if the relay is under warranty, I would contact support / supplier for a replacement

@DEChrisE that is what i will do monday morning. I am just trying to learn more as this is the 2nd identical module to break this way, before this happens a 3rd time.

@gafich10 L2 circuit is used on average twice a day, being on couple of hours max. L1 (ok one) much less, I would say once or twice a week for an hour.

Am I talking about this?

If both T1 and T2 have the same load I’m think the T2 relay is sticking in the on position and probably faulty. Have you tried exchanging the T1 and T2 wires for a test.

I have tried tonswap them thrm and now the other light is permanently on.

For reference load, all four combinations.

For reference, “Cooktop LED” is the stuck circuit. It is showing 0 power even though the light is on.

Conclusion, you are out of luck again, change the T2 relay under warranty.

Seems like it. I sent it back today, let’s see if this happens for a 3rd time :see_no_evil:

Good luck with the new one.
