All of the lights in my home show up once in Apple Home but they all show up twice in HA. I’m using Hue lights and bridge. How can I remove the duplicates in HA? Or, is there a reason they show up twice in HA that I’m not understanding?

Is this a special dashboard that creates itself automatically, or did you set it up that way yourself?
Try clicking “Edit dashboard” and take a look at the individual buttons. You might want to click the “Show Code Editor” button and then look for “entity.” If all of them have the same values listed under “entity,” then they’re just duplicates on your dashboard. Just remove them until each one appears only once.
To check if something is actually duplicated in HA, go to “Settings → Devices & Services” and look under the “Devices” or “Entities” tab. Then use the search filter at the top or the “Filters” option in the left sidebar.

It’s the built-in “Lights” dashboard.

Oh, right, those were added with some update. Since I’d already organized my dashboard myself, I turned them off.
Try clicking on a light and then on the gear icon at the top. What do you see under “Entity ID”?

I clicked on two of the duplicates.
One has an id of: light.front_left
The other has id: light.living_room_front_left

Then try looking up these IDs under Settings → Devices & Services → Entities → search for the ID → click on the entity → three-dot menu in the top-right corner → Device info

It looks like you’ve set up the Hue Bridge using both Matter and the Hue integration.
Do you remember my Matter and Thread guide, Many Options = Duplicate Devices?

I believe you. Maybe it slipped in through auto discovery somehow.
Manufacturers’ own integrations normally have a wider range of features, so I’d remove the Hue Hub as a Matter Bridge from the Matter server. However, I can’t say for sure since I don’t own any Hue devices. Can someone else weigh in on this?

You can either disable the Hue integration or remove the Hue Bridge from the Matter integration. As John said, you’ll get more features through the Hue integration. Scenes will automatically come into Home Assistant that way.

I removed the Hue bridge and re-installed my lights. I also bought some Govee lights (MUCH cheaper and work fine.)
I’m getting used to HA now too. Watched a great video on making dashboards! Still, it is quite the learning curve. But… powerful!
