Hi everyone!
I’ve been absolutely thrilled with my Govee lighting setup, and I wanted to share my recent DIY project with you all. I’ve been experimenting with creating dynamic light animations, inspired by some amazing effects I’ve seen in videos like this one: Audi Light Show. The goal was to mimic that flowing, pulsating light effect using my Govee LED strips.
Here’s what I did: I used the Govee Studio app in DIY mode, combined with an Apple Shortcut, to create a scene where the lights flow from both ends of the strip toward the center. Once they meet in the middle, the brightness ramps up to 100%, and then it flows back outward. It’s been a blast tweaking the timing and color transitions to get the effect just right! ![]()
I’d love to hear if anyone else has tried something similar or has tips for enhancing these kinds of animations. The DIY mode in the Govee app has been a game-changer for me, allowing me to get really creative with my lighting setup.
If you’re into DIY lighting projects or just love seeing how smart lights can transform a space, I’d love to hear your thoughts or see what you’ve created! Let’s keep the creativity flowing! ![]()
