Hey everyone! 
I just moved into a brand new house and I’m absolutely thrilled to be diving into the world of smart home technology. It’s been a whirlwind of setting up devices, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with you all.
First off, I’ve been absolutely loving my Echo Show 8. The screen is stunning, but I noticed it looked a bit dim compared to my old TV. I scoured the settings for a brightness adjustment but couldn’t find anything. I was worried I might have to return it or live with the dimness, but thankfully, I found a solution! By adjusting the display settings under the device menu, I was able to crank up the brightness to a much more comfortable level. Phew! Problem solved! 
Now, onto my current project: setting up smart heating profiles. I’ve got a smart TRV in my hallway and another in my living room. What I’d love to do is have the hallway TRV automatically turn on when the living room TRV is activated, but still be able to control each one individually. Does anyone have experience with this kind of setup? I’ve been tinkering with the app and reading through the manual, but I’m not quite sure how to structure the automation. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!
